Parasite

In the time of a day, week, a month and over the years, public life of the people is constantly changing. How people use, adapt and change the public space is undeniably related with multiple factors such as age, gender, culture, global pandemic and many others. During the past year, because of the global pandemic, social distancing became part of human’s daily life. Public life and the accessibility to public space changed drastically. In a way, the relationship between body, space and care has changed.

Being one of the experiencer to social distancing, made me realize that socialization is one of the major key for caring ourselves. Humans are social beings and all of our behaviours are socially constructed and dependent. Despite the global pandemic, people still sought ways to socialize. That’s why, questioning how to increase the socialization level of the body became my initiator idea.

In this project, I propose a conceptual framework, a system for interaction in social spaces. There are three different dynamic structures that creates the system. I called them dynamic structures because all three consist live actions between body to body and body to object.

According to Kas Oosterhuis “Interactive Architecture is the art of building bi-directional relationships. Human relate more naturally to dynamic structures rather than to static ones. IA is not about communication between people, it is first defined as the art of building relationships between built components and second, as building relations between people and built components.”
